Does a day off send your week into a tailspin?
Follow these steps to get your week back on track.
For those of us in the United States, yesterday we celebrated Labor Day.
Who doesn't love a day off? That is, until you get up the next day and your whole week is in turmoil.
You need the rest and relaxation of time off. But you still need a plan for your week so your holiday doesn't put the rest of your week into a tailspin.
Take a deep breath. Now take another one. It's OK - go ahead and take a 3rd. 😉
Follow these steps to make a plan for your week and get your goals back on track. You will need:
- 15 minutes in a quiet place
- your written goals
- your calendar
Oh, and maybe a cup of coffee. Y'all know I love a good cup of coffee. ☕️
Once you have everything you need and you have removed yourself from any distractions:
- Review your quarterly and monthly goals. What action steps need to take place this week in order for you to reach them?
- Based on those actions, write your priorities for the week.
- Schedule those priorities into your calendar.
Remember, being busy is not the same thing as making progress toward your goals. Make your time count. ⏱
Y'all have a great week!
