3 Key Reasons You Should Review and Fine Tune Your Habits
A Small Change Can Make a Big Difference
When I talk to women about creating a new habit, I often receive a similar response. “Ugh”, uttered with the same excitement they would show when scheduling an annual dentist appointment.
The thing is, we all have habits whether we realize it or not. That’s why we need to be intentional about our habits so that they help us succeed.
Dictionary.com defines habit as, an acquired behavior pattern regularly followed until it has become almost involuntary.
That’s what makes it a habit – you do it, whether good or bad, without even thinking about it.
So, let’s spend some time making sure we are practicing habits that help us succeed.
There Are 3 Key Reasons You Should Review and Fine Tune Your Habits
1- Habits Simplify Your Life
You’ve heard me talk about automation before. When you automate a task, you no longer have to spend time or brain energy thinking about it. A habit is simply a part of your daily routine that is on autopilot.
2- Habits Shape Your Success, or Undermine Your Success
A daily habit of reviewing your priorities each morning will keep your focus on the high leverage or time sensitive tasks you need to complete each day. The same amount of time spent checking the news or going down the rabbit hole of scrolling social media each morning can leave you without a plan for your day.
3- Habits Lead To Transformation
If you want to become more productive, more fit, more spiritually connected, etc… the key is the habits you are forming. They are recurring behaviors that don’t seem like much individually but over time add up to real change and transformation.
This month we are taking a deeper dive into habits.
This week I want you to pay attention to both the good and the bad habits you already have.
Y'all have a great week!
